Funeral Notice for MARTHA STEINERT
Martha Steinert, 80, died Thursday, Sept. 4, (1980) at the Hoisington Hospital after a long illness. Born Martha Michaelis, May 6, 1900, in Russell County, she was a resident of Hoisington since 1941. She married Jacob Templing September 14, 1919. He died June 1, 1951. She then married David Steinert June 14, 1960, in Hoisington.

Mrs. Steinert was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Heritage Club, LCW and Victory EHU, all of Hoisington.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Irene) Miller of Russell and Mrs. Floyd (Wilma) Hauser of Great Bend; two brothers, Bill Michaelis of Tacoma, Wash., and H. E. "Mac" Michaelis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Strecker of Gorham; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Art Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Hoisington Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the church.  The Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington was in charge of arrangements.
