Isabel Cemetery began with the donation of an acre of ground, by Lester White. Lester homesteaded SE1/4 6-30-11. His father, Luther, homesteaded the adjoining northeast quarter. The cemetery acre was donated upon the death of Mrs. Luther White, January 25, 1885. Mrs. White was the first buried in the cemetery. Luther was a preacher and dropped dead while delivering a sermon in later years.
