JONAS posted by Darla Jonas-Smith on Tuesday, February 2, 1999

I am searching for information on the Jonas family, James M. Jonas, He was my grt grandfather. I recently received a copy of his obit. and it mentioned one of his most treasured memories was of an arbor meeting held after the return of the soldiers from the war. "All met together and built an arbor near Sun City, Kansas. People came from all over the country and stayed on the grounds worshipping praying, and listening to four preachers who conducted the meetings, for six weeks these meetings continued" I'm guessing this was in 1865 or 66?? he was about 14 yrs. old. can anyone tell me more about this event or tell me what I might read for informtion?? I'm at a loss here --Help... and Thanks
