Feb 13 1923 - Mrs Ellen Simmons is the postmaster of Cottonwood Falls.
Feb 16 - Sally Madden Fent died at her home in Cottonwood Falls.
Feb 20 - Pasture prices to be a little higher this year.
The Wiley Ranch on Middle creek has been sold. This ranch consists of 1,960 acres.
Mar 2 - The marriage of Edith Marie Fillmore and Edward L. Boles took place in Newton.
Mrs A. J. Crocker has passed away. She lived on the Crocker farm, now the Littler farm, on Peyton creek for many years.
Mar 20 - County High Schools abolished, Community High Schools created.
Mar 27 - Mrs A. B. Watson passed away. Mr. & Mrs Watson came to this county in 1859.
Apr 3 - Fred Siler is progressing with his new house which is on the block west and a half block north of the Exchange National Bank.
Willard Hamm has just completed a very nifty filling station, south of his garage east of the courthouse.
Apr 6 - Elk and Stribby schools may form a joint school district.
Apr 10 - F. V. Alford sells his hardware business in Cottonwood Falls to L. E. Waddell.
Apr 13 - Matfield Green Rural High School adds two more years to it course. It is now a four year course high school.
Mrs Ella Snedegar arrived from Emporia to take possession of the Matfield Hotel.
Mr. & Mrs Joe Schwilling of the Clements area are the proud parents of a new baby boy.
Apr 17 - Cottonwood Falls is to have a new grain elevator as soon as it can be built.
The Elk-Union school district is formed.
Apr 20 - A baby daughter has come to live with Mr. & Mrs Dewey Childs of Elmdale.
Apr 24 - APEO Chapter is organized at the Falls.
A. Z. Scribner died at his home near Chelsea in Butler Co. Before moving to Chelsea he lived south of Bazaar. Ten of his thirteen children survive and his wife.
Mr. & Mrs Clayton Wagoner of Matfield Green have a new 7½ pound baby boy.
Apr 27 - Mr. & Mrs Maddox of Clements have a new baby boy.
5-1 - Saffordville wins the track meet held at the fair grounds winning, 65 points to 43 for Chase and 23 for Elmdale.
A baby girl named Joy Ruth has been born to Mr. & Mrs Elmer Watchous of Matfield Green.
Also a baby boy to Mr. & Mrs Orville Johnston.
May 8 - Homer Guyton of Elmdale and Louise Holmes of Cottonwood Falls are wed.
