     Oct 24 1934 - Edward Fillmore, oldest son of Mr. & Mrs Wm. Fillmore, of this city and Miss Zelda Grace Spain, daughter of Mr. & Mrs A. C. Spain, of Burns were married in ElDorado, Ks. For the past several years Ed has been a clerk in the Peoples Cash Store in this city. Cottonwood Falls will be their home.


     Nov 7 - Tuesday’s vote nearly a record.


     Rockne monument being constructed near Bazaar on the site of the crash.


     Nov 28 - 184 attend 4-H banquet at the Masonic Temple.


     Dec 5 - Guy Speer has suffered a heart attack at his home south of this city.


     The Chase County Historical Society was organized here. C. W. Hawkins, was chosen as President.


     Miss Janet Drummond, of Elmdale, becomes the bride of Herbert T. Drake, of Kingman, Ks.


     Dec 12 - The navy needs 1,350 men.


     Dec 19 - Strong City puts up Christmas decorations on Cottonwood Avenue. Three arches wrapped in evergreen branches and strung with electic vari-colored lights span the street.
