     Sept. 26, 1901 -- Oliver Ellis is moving his family to Bazaar.


     Bill Brown has rented the Curant building & will move his stock of furniture from Strong City.


     Born, to Mr. & Mrs John Thompson of Clements, a daughter.


     Marriage of John A. Mickeljerd & Eliza Campbell, both of Cottonwood Falls.


     The average salary of the male teachers in the county is $46.66 per month & female teachers $36.11.


     Oct 2, 1901 -- Marriage license issued to; Wm. A. Hulett & Susan Gyer, both of Bazaar, Owen T Bridgestocke of Cedar Point, & Mary M. Anderson of Florence, Jacob E. Miller of Saffordville & Maggie A. Harris of Toledo.


     Born to Mr. & Mrs C. F. Coleman, a son, at Clements.


     Marriage of Geo. Smith & Mary Burkes, both of Strong City, 0. M. Ellis of the Fall & Miss S. B. Eshbaugh of Iowa. Also Thos. Vinson & Lina Seiker.


     Mrs. W. E. Timmons will sell her household & kitchen furniture at public auction.


     Oct. 10, 1901 -- Dudley Doolittle has been elected director of the KU Band.


     Dr. Johnson resigned as corner.


     Dr. Byrant contemplates moving to Kansas City soon.


     Mrs Thos. Butler, a christian mother and affectionate friend and loving wife passed away.


     L. N. Laurence of Cedar Point is building a fine residence & F. E. Dwelle, south of Cedar Point is building a modern mansion.


     Oct. 17, 1901 -- Farmers can find a ready market in Cottonwood Falls for butter, eggs, chickens, etc.


     J. A. Rockhold, of Strong City will open his shoe establishment in the Falls, in the building vacated by Dr. Kendall.


     Rosa May Hartman, wife of Adam Hartman passed away.


     G. W. Stephenson, superintendent of the street car line has purchased two cars and will have them put in good condition.


     Wm. Forney is the City Clerk in the Falls.


     Marriage of Oliver Burton of Bazaar & Mary Fillmore of Birley. Willis J. Sayre, Cedar Point to May Griffith, of Cottonwood Falls, Thos. McCarl & Rebecca Patten, both of Clements.


     The Library Club, is perfecting arrangements for opening a public reading-room in the room south of the postoffice.


     Three cheers for C. C. Smith. A new baby girl has arrived.
