From an unknown Newspaper.

(He had been drilling Milo on a field belonging to his uncle, Abbott Morton. After driving his tractor to another field on the other side of the road, he started to walk back to his pickup for supplies when he was struck by lightning)

Most of the past nine years he farmed in Bassettville township, and the last three seasons he has been in the excavating and dirt moving business.
He was married June 26, 1955 to Mildred May Beishline.  They have two daughters, Sandra Kay, 7 and Linda May 5.  A loving and devoted husband, he took a great interest in his family and church.  He joined the St. John's Lutheran Church May 13, 1956, by baptism and confirmation.
At the time of his death he, with his family, was living on the old home farm where he was born in Bassettville Township.
