My Grandmother lived between Anthony and Harper on a 40 acre farm between 1880 and 1895. Her name was Eleanor Jennie Southard. She married Henry Edward Smith and later migrated to Oklahoma and then to Blaine County, Idaho, where they both died. Eleanor's father was George Washington Southard, who was born in Indiana. I am searching for information on Charles Duncan Perry b.4 Nov 1849 in Edgar Co. Il., d. 8 March 1987, Milan, Sumner Co,, KS. He married Susan Cole in1876. She is also buried in Milan Cemetery. Their daughter Maude, was my Grandmother. She was born in Sumner Co. and buried in Danville Cemetery in Harper Co. I have not been able to locate information on parents of Charles Duncan. My aunt Lois Allton of Wellington has searched for years for this information. Charles' mothers name was Parmelia, and he is listed on census with Ebenezer PERRY. One census list first 5 boys as Heskett (including Charles)and later children as Duncan. They are on the 1850 Census in Clark Co. IL with Ebenezer Perry as head of household. I would like to unravel this mystery for my aunt. She is in failing health and it would mean a lot to her. She has searched for this connection for 25 years.

My Grandmother Mabel Louella ( ? ) Wilson was born in Harper County on 24th, March 1877. Her parents either died when she was an infant or she was abandoned. She was raised in an orphanage supposedly near Parson, Kansas. I have spent several years trying to obtain information without any luck. She used the name Morris on her marriage certificate, but I believe that name was not her true maiden name, and actually belong to a family that she resided with as a child. She always stated she had a brother also born in Harper County. She married David S. Wilson from Sumner County, Kansas in 1898 and died in Wichita in 1962. All of her living children have the same limited information and state she never knew her parent's names. PLEASE HELP.
