FINICAL, NORTON posted by Darlene C. Joyce on Saturday, July 17, 1999

Can you please tell me how to reach the person or ogranization that has old records from the Leavenworth National Soldiers and Sailors Home in Leavenworth, Kansas?

My GG-Grandfather, Harvey Stillman Norton, was a Civil War vet and died there in Dec. 1903. Hoping to learn where he is buried and what records may still exist. If anyone knows his parents names...if any photos exist.

FYI. Harvey's wife was Sallie Ann Finical. Harvey and Sallie both lived at the Soldiers Home in Hall County, NE before Harvey was sent to Leavenworth. Sallie died in 1907, and not sure yet where she is buried either.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

And that Martin was a prison guard at the prison in Leavenworth. Martin came to America in 1854. Does anyone know how I can possibly find records from the prison, or anywhere else? I also think someone said his family lived in Lawrence, KS for a while. Please, any help would be appreciated.
