Seeking information on SHEA family who lived in Lansing, Leavenworth County ca.1885 to 1900's. Husband was John SHEA born Ireland, wife was Annie. I found the family on the 1885 Kansas Agricultural Census with the following children: Mollie age 12, Keatie age 10, Lizzie age 9, Jno age 7, Ellie age 4, all born in MO and William age 1 month born in KS. On the 1900 US Census John and Jno are missing. Is there a death index or cemetery book for Leavenworth County? Any information appreciated.

Capt Edmund A. Ogden Quarter Master Corp.was stationed at Ft Leavenworth 1853-1855. He departed Spring of 1855 for Ft Riley Ks with 50 wagon loaded with construction material. While at Ft Riley Ks. He died from Cholera on 3 or 8 Aug 1855. A local Newspaper at Leavenworth Ks. reported the death and that a Mr Panton (A. E. OGDEN) brother in law was departed to Ft Riley to check out the reported death. I need to document the following: names of George PANTON family living in Ft Levensworht, 1854 and after and names of any OGDEN family members living there as well. Possibly A. E. OGDENs wife and children. I have read the information contained in Cutlers Kansas History which includes both E. A. Ogden and George Panton as perticipants of civic organization which layed out the town of Leavenworth. any information would be appreceiated. I also have e-mail address vdmiller@bellsouth.ne

James Jacob Reilly, born in Sligo, Ireland in 1853, entered the US Army in Capt. Wherry's company, Co I, 6th Infantry Regiment, in 1879, at age 25. They served in both Fort Douglas, Utah and Fort Leavenworth, KS. He mustered out in 1889 in Leavenworth, KS. Is there any record of his having lived in Kansas either before or after his enlistment.? He was married to Elfrida Jansen, of Utah and Sweden, and they settled in Salt Lake City

I'm looking for info on a Robert D. HUGHES & his family. He was b. 8 Sep 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri.

I found a Robert HUGHES who died 30 Jan 1997 in Leavenworth, KS & he was also b. 8 Sep 1922. His SS# is 145-22-9890 & was issued in New Jersey. I believe they are one in the same. Is there anyone out there that might be able to confirm this for me?

On 14 Apr 1951, he was living at 904 Market St., Marcus Hook, PA, when he m. a Pauline F. STACKHOUSE, she was living at 1020 Parker St., Chester, PA. Pauline was b. 25 Mar 1922, she had been previously married to a JONES. Robert was a merchant marine.

Pauline appears to have been b. in Wilm., New Castle Co., DE & her parents being Ervin/Erven STACKHOUSE & Pearl? RAWLEY.

I am looking for parents of Herman Ebert. His burial record lists Germany as place of birth. He died Nov 2, 1893, Leavenworth. Also parents of his wife Albertina. She was born in Germany also, died Nov 11 1902 in Leavenworth. Her maiden name was Grughow or Groucho. Their granddaughter gives their place of birth as Pommern, Rheinland-Pfalz.
